CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets and is a style sheet language that controls the appearance of HTML documents.
You can either embed CSS internally in the HTML document, link it externally, or use it inline directly in the HTML element.
"Cascading" refers to the way styles are prioritized when applied to an element based on their origin and specificity.
CSS provides various selectors such as classes, IDs, elements, attributes and pseudo classes.
You can move elements horizontally with margin: auto; or center vertically with Flexbox or Grid.
